YumLit Community Luminary Program Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: October 31, 2025
Last Updated: October 31, 2025
Welcome to the YumLit Community Luminary Program (โProgramโ). By enrolling as a Luminary (โYouโ), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions with YumLit, LLC (โYumLit,โ โWe,โ or โUsโ).
1. Program Overview
The YumLit Community Luminary Program empowers individuals to support local food banks, soup kitchens, and nonprofit organizations focused on food security and food access by promoting YumLit products. For every verified sale made through a Luminaryโs unique referral link, YumLit donates 10% of proceeds to the U.S.-based 501(c)(3) organization selected by the Luminary.
2. Eligibility
Open to individuals aged 18 and over who reside in the United States.
Participants must designate a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that focuses on food access, hunger relief, or nutrition support.
YumLit reserves the right to verify the organizationโs status before donations are made and to ensure that the nonprofitโs mission aligns with YumLitโs broader social mission of promoting child nutrition and food access.
Organizations promoting discrimination, hate, or violence are not eligible.
3. Referral Links & Tracking
Each Luminary receives a unique tracking link tied to their selected nonprofit.
Sales generated through that link are recorded via YumLitโs integrated referral tracking system for attribution matching to each Luminaryโs unique ID.
Only verified transactions completed through that link qualify for donation.
4. Duration of Tracking and Donation Eligibility
Donations are made for all verified sales linked to the Luminaryโs unique ID while the account remains active. This approach simplifies tracking and ensures ongoing recognition of the Luminaryโs positive impact.
Tracking cookies associated with each Affiliateโs unique referral link do not expire. There is no set cookie duration. Verified sales generated at any time through the Affiliateโs valid and active referral link are eligible for commission, provided the Affiliateโs account remains in good standing and all other program terms are met.
5. Donation Structure
YumLit donates 10% of net proceeds from each verified sale referred by the Luminary.
โNet proceedsโ are calculated after Kickstarter and payment processing fees, taxes, and refunds.
Donations are issued on a quarterly basis directly to the designated nonprofit organization.
YumLit may contact the nonprofit to confirm donation details.
Donations cannot be redirected to individuals or non-qualifying entities.
6. Recognition & Rewards
Top Luminaries are recognized quarterly based on total verified donations generated. Rewards may include:
A Certificate of Recognition & Appreciation.
Optional public acknowledgment on YumLitโs website and social media (with participant consent).
Exclusive giveaways or gifts as tokens of appreciation.
7. Marketing & Conduct Guidelines
Luminaries agree to:
Promote YumLit and the Program ethically and respectfully.
Use YumLitโs approved brand assets, or create original content consistent with YumLitโs brand guidelines.
Refrain from using medical or exaggerated terms (e.g., โcures,โ โguarantees,โ or similar claims) or making any promise of specific results.
Refrain from misrepresenting the program or organization partnerships.
Include proper disclosures when promoting (e.g., โPurchases through my link support [Nonprofit Name] via YumLitโs Community Luminary Program.โ).
Avoid spam, harassment, or any conduct harmful to YumLit or its mission.
Refrain from using copyrighted, trademarked, or proprietary material owned by third parties (including influencer, brand, or celebrity content) without express written permission.
8. Commission Transparency
YumLit will maintain accurate commission records and provide reports to participating nonprofits.
Luminaries may request verification of total Commission made through their links no more than once per quarter, in alignment with the programโs quarterly donation cycle.
Commissions are payable after order verification and the end of each campaign or quarter. Participating nonprofits will only receive commissions if the Kickstarter campaign successfully reaches its funding goal. Once Kickstarter confirms the campaign is funded and all backer payments have cleared, YumLit will pay nonprofits 10% of the verified net pledge amount generated through their referral links.
9. Termination
YumLit may terminate participation for any misuse, violation of these Terms, or misrepresentation. Upon termination, all outstanding commissions that have been verified and earned in full compliance with these Terms will be paid. YumLit reserves the right to withhold payment for any commissions generated through fraudulent, deceptive, or non-compliant activity. Once terminated, the Affiliateโs tracking link will be deactivated.
10. Limitation of Liability
YumLitโs total liability related to this program is limited to the donation amounts generated by verified sales. YumLit shall not be liable for indirect or incidental damages.
11. Modification & Governing Law
YumLit reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the program at any time, with notice posted on our website or emailed to participants. However, YumLit will not implement any modifications or program changes until at least 30 days after the conclusion of the Kickstarter campaign. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.
12. Acceptance
By joining the YumLit Community Luminary Program, you confirm you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
